Actually my mother and grandmother saw the thieves running down the street with the carport.
They were driving through the hood taking the maid home when they saw these guys.
My mother asked the maid what was going on and the maid told her 'it was just a couple a crooks
stealing an aluminum carport...nothing new'.
One of my favorite stories of thievery in the hood was when the brothers stole all the grass lawn
from a bank...the day before the Grand Opening of the bank built in the hood to comply with the
Community Reinvestment Act.
