It's easy to find dumbasses saying stupid garbage in this world. One has to determine how much they are going to give a care about that. I personally do not. As far as tradition goes, Thanksgiving in my family is actually easily as powerful as Christmas, if not more so. We are Christians through the year, not Christians in the season. I feel no closer to God on Christmas than I do any other day of the year. I recognize His sacrifice everyday I think of Him. I do like the ornamental aspects of Christmas, and the tradition, but given that almost every time I go to church it's infested with Creasters it kind of ruins the effect for me. And I'm too old and grumpy for a sunrise service now. Also, for every one of these little douche nozzles that you can find that focuses on Thanksgiving and how it relates to the pilgrims, you can find people that are realistic and more level-headed about it. See, Thanksgiving for us has expressly little to do with the pilgrims and everything the first Thanksgiving was conducted for. For our family, we give thanks for everything that we have and have accomplished and benefit from, cuz even though there's a lot of people out there trying to jack up the United States of America, it's still a pretty great place to live. I have a job that pays me very well for what it is, I have a great family, I have excellent Health, excluding the recent medical crap that happened to me, LOL, and many great people in my life. I am thankful for the here-and-now. I don't care what people wearing funny clothes did over 200 years ago, that's not germane to me. So the little snowflakes can definitely have their opinions, just as long as they don't try to put them over on top of me. Because I would tell them that I feel sorry for them, and advise that their constant chase for things to be offended about is no way to live a person's life. You have to look for the positive aspects of the world and actually count your blessings. Otherwise you'll grow into your middle age completely bitter and unable to understand the blessings that you have.
Also, bitching about things that happened 200+ years ago is preposterously lazy, because it allows for moral posturing without the mandate of action. Simply bitch about remote historical happenstance and then go sup a frappuccino. Lazy little thin-skinned maggots.
