The banding/ligation is *nothing,* easy peasy. Absolutely don't wait, because if it gets a blood clot that's when they go nuts.

Personal tip: yellow pages up the vein specialists in your area. In my experience, they are better than the gi docs. A lot of gi docs will also persevate on colonoscopy. Vein doc will ask you, but will check for hemorrhoids and not persevate on the scope as bad. If you've already had a scope, no worries.
