I have clients ask me where they should file their Will and I tell them they do not want their Will filed, because that means they are dead.
In Ohio, they need to file the ORIGINAL ink-signed copy with the Estate. I tell my clients to either keep it in a safe place, or leave it with me where I keep it in our lock box at the bank.
If there is no Will, then they have to file an Intestate Esrate, and the state laws of Descent and Distribution apply.
